After a documentary and 2 films, now Gackt has played in a drama, which has been totally shot in 2006 and has being aired from January 2007.

Fuurin Kazan, based on a best-seller, is the story of Yamamoto Kansuke, a warrior who has gained an important role in the army of the daimyo Takeda Shingen using often unfair ways. However, when Kansuke and his lord fall in love for the same woman, he learns the true meaning of love and loyalty.

This is Gackt's character, UESUGI KENSHIN.
Born in 1530 and dead in 1578, at the only age of 48, Uesugi Kenshin was a brilliant soldier and lord of the provinces of Echigo, Noto and Kaga.
He was rival of Takeda Shingen (1521-1573), a daimyo known for his ability in strategy. They fought against each other for more than 10 years, but nobody of the two could win over the other. Takeda created an alleance with others daimyo in 1571 against Oda Nobunaga but died while fighting. Uesugi was also rival of Hojo's from Odawara in the never-ending struggle for the politic and militar supremacy which involved many feudal lords in the XVI century.
